Words of Wisdom

Happy Sunday! I don't know about you, but I know that my week is going to be absolutely crazy! The week of the musical is always the week that my teachers decide to give me a test in every class. Isn't that just lovely? This means that I will have rehearsal every night (which will most likely run super late because we're so far behind) when I should be studying for my test the next day! Every. Single. Night. I'm definitely not looking forward to it. I usually tend to curl up in a ball and hope that my problems will go away during times like this, so I decided that I needed some good motivational words of wisdom for my upcoming stressful week. These are my favorites:

1. "The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence." -Confucius

2. "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence." -Helen Keller

 3. "Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing." -Thomas Jefferson

4. "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." -Winston Churchill

5. “Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”
